There is something magical about golden hour at Independence Grove, and Ed and Alexa’s engagement session couldn’t have captured it more perfectly. Not only are these two so natural and joyful together, but they also brought along an extra special guest, their adorable pup, who stole the show more than once.
From the moment we started, you could feel how genuine their connection is. Their dog proudly wore the sweetest little sign that read, “My parents are getting married!” and honestly… my heart melted. It added the perfect personal touch and made the session feel even more like them.
As the sun dipped lower, the whole park glowed with warm tones, golden grasses, sparkling water, and that dreamy backlight photographers live for. Ed and Alexa laughed, snuggled, and walked their favorite trails with their four-legged best friend trotting along happily. It was effortless, relaxed, and full of all the things that make a session meaningful: love, laughter, and a whole lot of personality.
Independence Grove truly never disappoints for engagement photography, but this evening felt extra special. I’m so honored to capture this chapter of their story, and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day next year!
