There’s something extra special about photographing a family during their very first photoshoot. This adorable family of three invited me to capture their memories just as the fall leaves were beginning to change, and it ended up being one of my first official fall family photo sessions in Lake County, Illinois.
Their little boy, just two years old, brought all the curiosity and energy you’d expect at that age. He was fascinated by every crunchy leaf under his feet, and his joy made the whole session feel effortless and fun. I always love photographing toddler family photos, you never know what sweet expressions you’ll get.
Mom arrived in a stunning wine-colored dress that paired beautifully with the warm autumn tones around us. The colors, the light, and the love this family shared all came together perfectly for a classic fall family photoshoot.
