A Special Sunflower Session with One of My Favorite Families


Some families hold an extra special place in my heart and this one is definitely one of them. They’ve been with me since the very beginning of my photography journey. In fact, theirs was the very first birth session I ever photographed! Since then, I’ve had the honor of capturing so many milestones for them: maternity sessions, countless family portraits, and now another year of beautiful memories together.


This time, they chose the stunning Thompson Strawberry Farm in Bristol, WI, known for its dreamy sunflower fields. I have to admit, I absolutely love sunflower sessions. There’s something so magical about the golden blooms stretching as far as the eye can see, wrapping families in that warm late summer glow.


Watching this family walk through the fields, laughing, snuggling, and just being themselves, reminded me why I adore what I do. Each year I get to document their love, their growth, and the way their story keeps unfolding. Their little ones are growing up so fast, and I love freezing these sweet moments in time for them.


The sunflower fields gave us the perfect backdrop, bright, cheerful, and full of life, just like this family. These photos radiate joy, warmth, and connection, and I know they’ll be treasured for years to come.


I’m so grateful to be their photographer, but even more grateful to witness and capture their journey year after year. Clients like these truly become friends, and sessions like this remind me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
