Some of my favorite sessions are the ones that come together unexpectedly like this one! This sweet family was visiting from Indiana for the weekend to spend time with the grandparents, and we were able to squeeze in a last-minute family photo session while they were in town. It turned out to be such a special evening filled with laughter, energy, and love.


With four little ones under the age of five, there was never a dull moment! From giggles to wiggly moments and a few snuggles in between, every bit of it was perfectly real and genuine. The grandparents were absolutely glowing, so proud to have their children and grandchildren all together. You could feel how much these photos meant to everyone.

We chose a beautiful outdoor location here in Lake County, Illinois, where the kids could run and play while we captured natural, joy-filled images. The light was soft and golden, and the smiles were nonstop. These are the kinds of sessions that remind me why I love what I do, capturing fleeting moments that families will treasure for years to come.


For this visiting family, the photos became more than just portraits—they became memories of a weekend spent together, celebrating love across generations.
