I’m always on the lookout for new, beautiful locations and this McHenry County park quickly became a favorite! The golden light, tall grass, and quiet trails created the perfect backdrop for this sweet family session. I’ll definitely be adding this spot to my Stacy Rae Photography Location Guide for future sessions.


It was extra special because I’ve photographed this family before. The last time I saw them, their little girl had just turned one! Seeing families again and watching their kids grow is truly one of my favorite parts of this job. Their laughter, snuggles, and those real, in-between moments remind me exactly why I love what I do.


This session was a mix of playful and heartfelt, the kind of evening that ends with tired, happy smiles and memories you can feel through the photos.
